¹ And there is a word of Yahweh unto me, saying, ² `Son of man, prophesy concerning the prophets of Israel who are prophesying, and you have said to those prophesying from their own heart:Hear you a word of Yahweh:" ³ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Woe unto the prophets who are foolish, Who are going after their own spirit, And they have seen nothing." ⁴ As foxes in the wastes, Your prophets, O Israel, have been." ⁵ You have not gone up into breaches, Nor do you make a fence for the house of Israel, To stand in battle in a day of Yahweh." ⁶ They have seen vanity, and lying divination, Who are saying:An affirmation of Yahweh, And Yahweh has not sent them, And they have hoped to establish a word." ⁷ A vain vision have you not seen, And a lying divination spoken, When you say:An affirmation of Yahweh, And I have not spoken? ⁸ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Because you have spoken vanity, and seen a lie, Therefore, lo, I [am] against you, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh." ⁹ And My hand has been on the prophets, Who are seeing vanity, and who are divining a lie, In the assembly of My people they are not, And in the writing of the house of Israel they are not written, And unto the ground of Israel they come not, And you have known that I [am] the Lord Yahweh." ¹⁰ Because, even because, they did cause My people to err, Saying, Peace! and there is no peace, And that one is building a wall, And lo, they are daubing it with chalk." ¹¹ Say to those daubing with chalk--It falls, There has been an overflowing shower, And you, O hailstones, do fall, And a tempestuous wind does rend, ¹² And lo, fallen has the wall! Does not one say unto you, Where [is] the daubing that you daubed? ¹³ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:I have rent with a tempestuous wind in My fury, And an overflowing shower is in Mine anger, And hailstones in My fury--to consume." ¹⁴ And I have broken down the wall that you daubed with chalk, And have caused it to come unto the earth, And revealed has been its foundation, And it has fallen, And you have been consumed in its midst, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh." ¹⁵ And I have completed My wrath on the wall, And on those daubing it with chalk, And I say to you:The wall is not, And those daubing it are not;" ¹⁶ The prophets of Israel who are prophesying concerning Jerusalem, And who are seeing for her a vision of peace, And there is no peace, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh." ¹⁷ And you, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who are prophesying out of their own heart, and prophesy concerning them, ¹⁸ And you have said:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Woe to those sowing pillows for all joints of the arm, And to those making the kerchiefs For the head of every stature--to hunt souls, The souls do you hunt of My people? And the souls you have do you keep alive? ¹⁹ Yea, you pierce Me concerning My people, For handfuls of barley, And for pieces of bread, to put to death Souls that should not die, And to keep alive souls that should not live, By your lying to My people--hearkening to lies." ²⁰ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I [am] against your pillows, With which you are hunting there the souls of the flourishing, And I have rent them from off your arms, And have sent away the souls that you are hunting, The souls of the flourishing." ²¹ And I have torn your kerchiefs, And delivered My people out of your hand, And they are no more in your hand for a prey, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh." ²² Because of paining the heart of the righteous with falsehood, And I have not pained it, And strengthening the hands of the wicked, So as not to turn back from his evil way, To keep him alive, ²³ Therefore, vanity you do not see, And divination you do not divine again, And I have delivered My people out of your hand, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh!'"

⁸ But you shall be obtaining power at the coming of the holy spirit on you, and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in entire Judea and Samaria, as far as the limits of the earth."

¹⁶ All scripture is inspired by God, and is beneficial for teaching, for exposure, for correction, for discipline in righteousness, ¹⁷ that the man of God may be equipped, fitted out for every good act."

⁶ My people shall be stilled because of failing knowledge, seeing that you reject knowledge. Then I am rejecting you from being a priest for Me, and as you are forgetting the law of your Elohim, I will forget your sons--even I."

³⁵ Heaven and earth shall be passing by, yet My words may by no means be passing by."

²⁶ Now the consoler, the holy spirit, which the Father will be sending in My name, that will be teaching you all, and reminding you of all that I said to you."

¹ Be pursuing love. Yet be zealous for spiritual endowments, yet rather that you may be prophesying." ² For he who is speaking in a language is not speaking to men, but to God, for no one is hearing, yet in spirit he is speaking secrets." ³ Yet he who is prophesying is speaking to men for edification and consolation and comfort. ⁴ He who is speaking in a language is edifying himself, yet he who is prophesying is edifying the ecclesia." ⁵ Now I want you all to be speaking in languages, yet rather that you may be prophesying, for greater is he who is prophesying than he who is speaking in languages, outside and except he may be interpreting, that the ecclesia may be getting edification." ⁶ Yet now, brethren, if I should be coming to you speaking in languages, what shall I be benefiting you if ever I should not be speaking to you either in revelation, or in knowledge, or in prophecy, or in teaching? ⁷ Likewise, soulless things, giving a sound, whether flute or lyre, if they should not be giving a distinction to the utterances, how will the fluting or the lyre playing be known? ⁸ For if a trumpet, also, should be giving a dubious sound, who will be preparing for battle? ⁹ Thus, you also, if you should not be giving an intelligible expression through the language, how will it be known what is being spoken? For you will be speaking into the air." ¹⁰ There are perchance, so many species of sounds in the world, and nothing is soundless." ¹¹ If, then, I should not be perceiving the import of the sound, I shall be a barbarian to the one speaking, and the one speaking a barbarian to me." ¹² Thus you also, since you are zealots for spiritual endowments, seek that you may be superabounding to the edification of the ecclesia." ¹³ Wherefore let him who is speaking in a language, pray that he may be interpreting." ¹⁴ For if I should be praying in a language, my spirit is praying, yet my mind is unfruitful." ¹⁵ What is it, then? Should I be praying in the spirit, yet I will be praying with the mind also. In the spirit will I be playing music, yet I will be playing with the mind also." ¹⁶ Else, if you should be blessing in the spirit, how shall he who is filling up the place of a plain person be declaring "Amen!at your giving of thanks, since, in fact, he is not aware what you are saying? ¹⁷ For you, indeed, are giving thanks ideally, but the other is not edified." ¹⁸ I thank God that I speak in a language more than all of you. ¹⁹ But, in the ecclesia, do I want to speak five words with my mind, that I should be instructing others also, or ten thousand words in a language? ²⁰ Brethren, do not become little children in disposition. But in evil be minors, yet in disposition become mature." ²¹ In the law it is written that, In different languages and by different lips shall I speak to this people, and neither thus will they be hearkening to Me, the Lord is saying." ²² So that languages are for a sign, not to the believers, but to the unbelievers. Yet prophecy is not for the unbelievers, but for believers." ²³ If then, the whole ecclesia should be coming together in the same place, and all should be speaking in languages, yet should plain persons or unbelievers be entering, will they not be declaring that you are mad? ²⁴ Now if all should be prophesying, yet some unbeliever or plain person be entering, he is being exposed by all, he is being examined by all." ²⁵ The hidden things of his heart are becoming apparent, and thus, falling on his face, he will be worshiping God, reporting that God really is among you." ²⁶ What, then, is it, brethren? Whenever you may be coming together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a language, has a translation. Let all occur to edification." ²⁷ Besides, if anyone is speaking in a language, by two, or, at the most, three, and by instalments, let one also interpret." ²⁸ Now if there should be no interpreter, let him hush in the ecclesia, yet let him speak to himself and to God." ²⁹ Now, as to prophets, let two or three speak, and let the others discriminate." ³⁰ Yet if it should be revealed to another sitting by, let the first hush, ³¹ for you can all be prophesying one by one, that all may be learning and all be consoled." ³² And the spiritual endowments of prophets are subject to the prophets. ³³ For God is not for turbulence, but peace, as in all the ecclesias of the saints." ³⁴ Let the women in the ecclesias hush, for it is not permitted to them to speak, but let them be subject, according as the law, also is saying." ³⁵ Now, if they want to learn anything, let them be inquiring of their own husbands at home, for it is a shame for a woman to be speaking in the ecclesia." ³⁶ Or from you came out the word of God? Or to you only did it attain? ³⁷ If anyone is presuming to be a prophet or spiritual, let him be recognizing that what I am writing to you is a precept of the Lord." ³⁸ Now if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant!" ³⁹ So that, my brethren, be zealous to be prophesying, and the speaking in languages do not forbid." ⁴⁰ Yet let all occur respectably and in order.

⁸ For to one, indeed, through the spirit, is being given the word of wisdom, yet to another the word of knowledge, according to the same spirit"
